We stopped here on our way down to the Keyes looking for an oasis from the traffic, and it certainly hit the spot! To kick off, we ordered the Hemingway cocktail... It was just what the doctor ordered to take the knots out of your rope! Super casual With fast service and eager to please, this certainly hit all the right notes. We watched all sorts of groups and small groups come and go, including a few dogs! This place is super casual, family, friendly large group friendly, and has some pretty good eats... Including the grouper sandwich - which we highly recommend! So if you're looking for a place on the side of the road, that also has a spot on the water, this is your oasis!
Decided to give Island Grill a try on our last night in the upper keys. My wife had the spiney lobster and I had the grilled seafood platter. Both dishes were excellent and our server Carol was simply great.
Ehhh we came here with high hopes after a few recommendations. It's quite cute being right on the water and service was phenomenal. Serving that much tuna on the nachos for that price is a red flag. Tuna was not high quality but we didn't get sick , sushi was okay and grilled mahi mahi was actually my favorite. Not bad but we just had higher expectations. Definitely come Check it out and the view.
Driving down south and we decided to stop at Island Grill. We were seated right away on the covered outside deck. Nice breeze even though it was 93 degrees! Very comfortable. We tried the daily special appetizer: coconut Thai mahi finger! Delicious! Had a few cocktails and dessert. Our server Daniel was very nice and efficient. We had the homemade key lime pie and the daily special dessert rum cake with vanilla ice cream. They were both incredible! I didn't expect the rum cake to warmed! With the cold vanilla bean ice cream on top.....oh my goodness! Delightful. The key lime pie was light and tangy! Beautifully done! Thanks Island Grill. Well stop by again!
Great place for Taco Tuesday and half off tequila drinks and shots! If you know to ask, they have tacos for $10 but only if you ask for it. Luckily we did and they were good! I got the grilled shrimp and hubby got mahi and both were fresh and had enough fish in it. If you buy the taco you can have margaritas or tequila shots for half price; great idea!
This was our 1st time here and we stopped because the sign said AHI NACHO! How can you go wrong with a choice like that? They also have brunch- FYI. The Ahi tuna was to die for! Fresh and delicious with ample toppings...but there were only 3 chips! Its a shareable app...how do you share 3 chips? 4 Makes more sense! Either way they were very tasty! The service was fast and helpful. We were able to taste test beers before selecting. The views were beautiful of course and very large indoor area for many guests. The staff was fast with the turn around of tables which makes for less wait time. We will definitely return! See you Soon!
